INTRODUCTION Our concept for the  Blood, Guts, and Gophers page is something that every dog owner experiences sooner or later. Your dog will trap and kill a small varmint such as a gopher, rat, mouse, mole, squirrel, snake, or lizard. Terriers are especially adept at this and a Stafford does have that extra prey drive of a true Terrier. Your pal (the dog) usually figures you would like to share his or her good work. Plop! There it is. Dead at your feet or lying on the welcome mat at the front door or maybe in your lap while you're lounging in bed late on a Sunday morning. Ah, what bliss.
